1986, is the dedicated financing arm of Indian Railways and plays a crucial role in funding the expansion and modernization of the railways. Since its inception, IRFC has facilitated the acquisition of over 13,000 locomotives, 73,000 passenger coaches, and 259,000 freight wagons. It secures funds from both domestic and international markets to augment the annual plan outlay of Indian Railways.
