This includes design, development, and infrastructure costs, laying the groundwork for future high-speed rail projects in India. The trainsets will feature modern amenities like air conditioning, reclining seats, and onboard infotainment systems. They are expected to be delivered by the end of 2026. BEML, known for its work in defence, mining, and rail sectors, is also manufacturing the first 10 Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets, further bolstering India's capabilities in high-speed and premium rail travel.
