Kerala to Maharashtra, covers 756.25 kilometers, with Karnataka and Maharashtra having 239 km and 361 km, respectively. Previously, the railway department partnered with state governments for projects, sharing a 50% contribution. However, due to the lack of state participation, the central government has decided to solely fund future projects. The Konkan Railway, established in 1993, has yielded a profit of 1700 crore rupees for the central government.
