RRI at Itarsi, which caught a massive fire on 17/06/15 and affected train operations in a big way bringing down the efficiency of the yard by around 50 % was restored today at 2 50 pm. Itarsi is a four directional junction yard which sees about 145 train mail express & pass train movements daily & about 50-60 freight trains passing. Due to the fire at Itarsi Panel the route relay interlocking suffered damage and Non-interlocked manual working was resorted to for about 34 days.
