12:30 PM. The train was moving slowly on the down loop line when the woman suddenly jumped. Her body was severed in two parts after being hit by the train. The station informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) after the incident. However, the woman's body remained on the railway track for six hours.

The investigation revealed that the traffickers had forged Aadhaar cards for the girls to make them appear older and had been given tickets by a man named Basant from Khunti.
