sooner had the train departed from Hosur and continued all the way upto Karur late into the night. Fierce spurts of lightning could be seen every now and then. At Kelamangalam, Kongu Express bound for the national capital was looped for us to cross. We reached Salem Junction at a few minutes to midnight; and here Chennai bound Blue Mountain Express and Bengaluru bound Ernakulam Bengaluru Superfast Express crossed us. An hour later; we find ourselves at the ever busy Erode Junction; where as many as 3 trains are sighted in a span of 20minutes that we take for loco reversal, the Bengaluru bound Kannur Yeshvantpur Express; Trivandrum mail from Chennai and Chemmozhi express bound for Coimbatore. While departing after Loco reversal; the announcement for a fourth train also was occurring; the Mangalore Chennai Superfast Express. After Erode, its a sedate run till we knock the gates of Trichy; delay is maintained. At Trichy an array of locos including localites - WDM2; WDP3A and WDP4D of GOC shed welcoming us at the wee hours of the morning.
