(AP) railway station in southern Mysuru, towards Mysuru Junction (MYS).

The loco was in Short Hood Front (SHF) mode, and it's OG cab !! Happy to see the Original cab EMD, despite in a Bleed blue avatar !!!

Also to add, the Ashokapuram Railway station is fully electrified, The Mysuru (MYS) -- Ashokapuram (AP) section ( 6 RKMs ) of the Mysuru - Chamarajanagar Railway line is electrified completely but still no electric loco trials have been done. The CRS was commissioned on March end, but it's again postponed to April probably..

Spotted KJM WDM-3D #11520 at Ashokapuram (AP), Mysuru, in front of the Railways Central Workshop gate !! Had a best possible close encounter there !!!

The loco took a 3-Tier AC LHB rake out of the workshop towards the station areas. Enjoy some sounds of the ALCo with some Honks, in the given audio link.

Today (14.02.2022) at evening 5:30pm, Spotted KJM WDP-4D #40237, which came from Mysuru Junction (MYS) to Ashokapuram (AP) to pick up some overhauled and ready LHB rake of 3 coaches at Ashokapuram Yard... Now hitched with it... getting ready to depart back to Mysuru...

(MYS) -- Mayiladuturai (MV) [ Thanjavur ] Express

.. parked at the Mainline of Ashokapuram (AP) railway station, awaiting clearance for departure to Mysuru Junction.

The empty rake upon reaching Mysuru Junction, the empty coaches will be opened for travellers. Thereafter, the rake will begin it's official journey from Mysuru Junction at time 16:30 as Mayiladuturai Express till Mayiladuturai, via KSR Bengaluru, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Karur, Tiruchirapalli etc.

Also to add, the train will get an electric loco link between Mysuru and KSR Bengaluru, and from KSR Bengaluru onwards, Diesel link.

I met the LPs of the empty rake, they told that they brought this empty rake to Ashokapuram, in the morning for parking (stabling).

Rare to see such express trains come for stabling here at Ashokapuram (AP)
