জন্মদিনটা আজও চোখের সামনে ভাসে অনেকের ৷ ২৪ শে অক্টোবর ১৯৮৪ ৷ ভারতের প্রথম মেট্রো রেল চলাচল শুরু হল পশ্চিমবঙ্গের কলকাতায় ৷ না, তখনও কলকাতা ছিল ক্যালকাটা ৷ প্রবাদটা কিন্তু আবার প্রমাণ হয়ে য়ায়, ‘বাংলা আজ যা করে ভারত ভাবে তার অনেক পরে’৷
