Details of yesterday's major freight derailment involving death of 1 LP and injury to 4 while 1 of them is said to be critical.Preliminary investigation suggest the reason of spad was fatigue of the locopilot who was working from last 14 hrs and also the brake composition of the rake which was 71% against the stipulated guideline of 35%.This was the reason for speed to be 67kmph against the permissable speed of 50kmph.Attached notification of Southern railways.(Credits to Railwhispers)

Collision of two freight trains near Singhpur railway station in Madhya Pradesh on Bilaspur Katni route. While one train was standing for line clear, another came and dashed into its rear loco. The engines of the trains caught fire after the collision. Casualties and injuries among railway staff.
