I am writing a message from Rampurhat, Birbhum, West Bengal about the Tarapith Temple which is situated in a village Tarapur which is only 9 Km away from Rampurhat Railway station (RPH).The Tarapith is regarded as one of the 52 Shakti Peethams of India. It is said to be so called because the eye ball (tara) of Sati fell here. Others say that Tarapith is not a pith but the place owes its sanctity to the fact that the Sage Basistha here worshipped the Goddes Sati in the form of Tara. The Kamakhya Temple in western part of Guwahati city in Assam is also one of the oldest of the Shakti Peethams. The Kamakhya Temple is well connected to the other part of India through direct train (example – Kamakhya-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express, Kamakhya- Puri Express, Kamakhya –Ranchi Weekly Express, Kamakhya -Anand Vihar Weekly Express, Kamakhya –Mumbai LTT Karmabhoomi...
more... Express etc.). Even through Rampurhat Railway Station (RPH) is one of the six NSG-3 category railway stations in Eastern Railway and third busiest railway station in Howrah division (After Howrah (HWH) and Barddhaman (BWN) railway station) due to huge number passengers are used this station to visit the Tarapith temple, but there is no such direct express train to connect other parts of India except state capital Kolkata. So, I request to make availability to direct dedicated Express train from Rampurhat (RPH) to Kamakhya (KYQ), Puri (PURI), Patna (PNBE), Varanasi (BSB), Ranchi (RNC), Deoghar (DGHR), Gaya (GAYA) and its vice versa in keeping mind to better service to the visitors of the Tara Maa Temple. Thank you sir. I will happy if you take a look on my point of view.
