Railway officials worked for eight hours after the incident, which occurred around 2:30 AM, to clear the debris and restore the track. The Triveni Express was halted at Chunar due to the incident, while the Muri Express was diverted to an alternate route. The railway track between Churka station and Agori on the Chhopan-Chunar route passes through a mountainous area. The heavy rain on Sunday, both during the day and night, caused a section of the mountain to collapse. A large amount of debris fell onto the railway track, blocking it. The incident occurred between pillar numbers 159/21 and 19. A goods train carrying coal was travelling from Churka to Chhopan when the incident occurred.

Is incident ki wajah se, Triveni Express ko Chunar me hi rok diya gaya, aur Muri Express ko dusra route se gujara gaya. Chhopan-Chunar route pe, Churka railway station aur Agori ke beech me, railway track pahar ke beech se jaata hai. Sunday ko, din aur raat dono me, tezz barish ki wajah se, pahar ka ek hissa dhas gaya. Bahut saara malba railway track pe gir gaya, aur isse track block ho gaya. Yeh incident pillar number 159/21 aur 19 ke beech me hua. Issi waqt, ek malgadi coal leke Churka se Chhopan ki taraf jaa rahi thi.
