The change was a result of pressure from local representatives and later, demands from passengers in Chhapra and Siwan. The current route utilizes Muzaffarpur via Bapudham, Motihari, and Bettiah, with the Saptkranti Superfast train operating on this route between Muzaffarpur and Anand Vihar.
