Officials' efficiency and government's will indicate that the project will receive a budget of over ₹1000 crore in the upcoming budget. The project includes a 34-km rail section between Sathiyanv (Azamgarh) and Dohrighat (Mau), which will connect with the already under-construction Dohrighat-Sahjanwa (Gorakhpur) rail section, costing ₹1319 crore. This new route will open up new avenues for development for Ballia, Ghazipur, and Mau residents. A new 55-km railway line will be laid to connect Aunrihar with Sarai Rani railway station. Sarai Rani is 8 km away from the already connected Azamgarh railway station. Similarly, Aunrihar station is 32 km away from the Varanasi City station, which is under the Varanasi division of the Northeast Railway. The project will connect Azamgarh to Varanasi and Gorakhpur rail networks, opening new dimensions of development for the city. The team has been working towards this project for two decades and it is finally becoming a reality.
