Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Howrah, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Bhubaneswar aur Jharsuguda ke beech fourth line ka project chal raha hai, jiske hone se train time par chalegi. Unhone Rourkela, Jharsuguda aur Jadugoda jaise kai stations par passenger facilities badhane ke liye chal rahe kaam ke baare mein bhi bataya. GM ne Rourkela Station par illegal vending ke matter ki jaanch karne ke liye RPF ko instructions di. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Howrah-Mumbai Mail accident ki investigation abhi bhi chal rahi hai aur abhi tak koi bhi employee ki negligence nahin mili hai. The redevelopment work, estimated to cost ₹1000 crore, will be undertaken in phases.
