The Chenab Bridge, built over the Chenab River gorge in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, stands taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris at a height of 359 meters. Construction works for the USBRL project are nearing completion with only tunnel No. 1 partially unfinished. A two-day inspection of the 46-km Sangaldan-Reasi section of the USBRL, including the Chenab Bridge, is scheduled for June 27th and 28th by the Railways Safety Commissioner D.C. Deshwal. The inspection is part of the final preparations for the section's commissioning.

USBRL project ko India mein sabse challenging railway line projects mein se ek maana jaata hai, jo Himalayas ki complex geology se ho kar jaata hai. Khandelwal ne project ki importance par zor diya ki yeh Kashmir Valley ko India ke rest of the railway network se connect karega.
