These trains will include the following routes: Gondia-Santaragachhi Durga Puja Special (4th & 9th October from Gondia), Santragachhi-Gondia Durga Puja Special (5th & 10th October from Santragachhi), Gondia-Chhapra Chhath Puja Special (3rd & 4th November from Gondia), Chhapra-Gondia Chhath Puja Special (4th & 5th November from Chhapra), Gondia-Patna Chhath Puja Special (3rd & 4th November from Gondia), and Patna-Gondia Chhath Puja Special (4th & 5th November from Patna). These special trains will cover approximately 6,000 trips in the two-month period, ensuring comfortable travel for a large number of passengers. The initiative is particularly beneficial for people travelling to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, who often face heavy rush during these festivals. The decision to run special trains is driven by the significant surge in passenger numbers during these festivals, which often leads to long waiting lists for regular train tickets.
