Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for this alternative DC line on Friday. The DRM, Kamal Kishore Sinha, stated that this new line will significantly enhance Dhanbad's development, adding that trains will continue to operate on the existing line via Katras, while the new line will not interfere with its operations. The capacity of the Sindri Marshalling Yard will be increased to meet future needs, and the doubling of the Pradhankhunta-Pathardih Bazaar-Bhojudih rail line will facilitate smoother train traffic. The new line will run parallel to the Grand Chord from Dhanbad to Matari via Bhuli, Tetulmari, and Nichitpur. It will then connect to the Chandrapura railway line via Telo. For the return journey, the line will pass through Telo and over a rail overbridge to connect to the existing down line from Gomoh-Dhanbad. This new line is expected to increase train capacity between Dhanbad and Ranchi by more than double.

On Saturday, a woman was killed after being hit by a train near the Wasipur Zonal Training School in Bhuli. The woman's identity remains unknown. Witnesses reported that the woman was crossing the railway line when she was spotted by people who tried to warn her and stop the approaching train....

However, the train was too close and the woman was fatally injured. The Bhuli police station in-charge, Dinesh Chandra, Dhananjay Kumar, and RPF inspector Pankaj Kumar arrived at the scene and sent the body to NMCH for postmortem.
