** Korba(3,65,073-2011 census) is No.4 urban agglomeration of Chhatisgarh after Raipur (11,22,555), Durg-Bhilai(10,64,1077) lacs) & Bilaspur(3,65,569).
** IR earns thousands of crore Rs per annum from the Korba region, whereas people of Korba have to go to Bilaspur/ Champa to board long-distance trains.
**A few trains originating from BSP should be extended to Korba about 90 km so that people of Korba. Trains like BSP-Chennai, BSP-Jodhpur/Bikaner can be extended to Korba. This will decongest the Bilaspur station.
