The purpose of the inspection was to review the restored technical equipment, including the rail lines and sections. The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Samastipur, Vinay Shrivastav, was also present during the inspection. Shrivastav stated that the GM inspected the rail project as well as the impact of floods. He also inspected the technical issues caused by the flood in the Masan River between Harinagar and Bhairoganj on the Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur rail section.

Railway officials ne bataya ki block ke liye Thursday ko Sonpur se DRM aur unki team junction ke platform 7 aur 8 ka inspection karegi. Railway ki taraf se jaari letter mein kaha gaya hai ki platform 7 aur 8 se chalne wali 7 trains ko platform 6 aur 1 se chalaya jaayega. Motihari se Patliputra jaane wali Intercity Express, Raxaul-Muzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj MEMU aur Narkatiaganj-Muzaffarpur MEMU platform 1 se chalengin. Naye saal mein Muzaffarpur ko Vande Bharat Express ki sogaat milne wali hai. Yeh Delhi tak jaayegi aur yeh safar 10-12 ghante ka hoga. Normal train ke muqable 6-8 ghante ki bachat hogi. Is scheme par 200 crore ka kharcha aayega. Track repair ka kaam bhi final stage mein hai.
