The state government also contributed to the funding. The overbridge will be 700 meters long and 11.8 meters wide. The construction will benefit commuters, including school buses, ambulances, commercial vehicles, industrial workers, and government employees, who currently face significant delays due to frequent railway gate closures. The gate is closed for approximately 15-20 minutes every 1 hour, as over 15 passenger trains and 40 freight trains pass through the route daily. This construction is deemed crucial as the railway department plans to increase train frequency following the addition of a third line between Patratu, Rai, and Tori stations.

They highlighted that the Patratu Sub Divisional Hospital is currently operating only in one shift and there are several problems. The union leaders contacted Dr. Halder regarding the problems. Dr. Sanjeev Halder confirmed that the CMD has been informed about the shortcomings in the hospital. He added that the OPS is better than the NPS and the union has been fighting for a long time for the OPS. The government is providing pensions under the UPS which is better than the NPS. The leaders clarified that the door is still open and the union is fighting for it. They did not rule out the possibility of improvement. The meeting was attended by branch secretaries R.N.
