12344 DN is not dep from NJP till now ... waiting for Slip portion ..
yeh haldibari doubling ne toh NFR ka baand baja diya...upar se important trains ko divert v nahi kiya...6-8 hrs late.
12344 departed from NJP @ 22.35
as per notification,12344 & 13142 of tomorrow will depart w/o waiting for slip portion & none of them to travel beyond NJP

nobhonil10 2453 blog postsHope slack in this train is reduced after patch-Doubling.Alot needs to be done to improve the situation of I/C travel in NBengal.People now highly depend on DEMUs,passengers and I/Cs for Intercity travel
even after such huge slack hardly reaches NJP on time....comparatively the ones terminate @ SGUJ dont face heavy PF issues.

The time table does not serve also.Look at the time of departures from NJP and NCB.From NCB its around 1650,no one can ever rely on this train to catch Darjeeling Mail,Padatik exp.If the departure would have been from 1600HRS and supposed to reach around 1900hours it was ok(2 hrs is the average time taken from NCB to NJP,here 3 hrs can be given owing to stoppages and some slack).
Again the timings from NJP,0900HRS FROM NJP ,the passengers from Darjeeling mail,Padatik,all other trains arriving NJP who intend to travel further.This train could have been an excellent link had the timing been around 1015 to 1030hours from NJP reaching NCB by 1330hrs.That would have served the purpose.Still today after the numbers of trains...

i've seen after this train arrives NCB within 15 mts they take it into the NCB Marandanga curve & keep it stationary for next 3-4 hrs...instead extend this train upto Fakiragram via NOQ,KAMG,GOGH...at least it can attract few daily passengers who're hopelessly waiting for 55713
people who're going to book for 12377 find it easier to book in 13147/13149 because 12377 has lesser No. of coaches...the era in which 12377 introduced almost all trains followed the 6 GS-2 SLR concept,but this was given only 4 GS-2 SLR..so the train is of no use to any class of pass.
Even if it is extended to Dhubri then they can regularly commute and have the connection to all Long distance trains.Needs revision in timings though!!!!!

safer to board uttarbanga and will reach in a flat 2 hr 15 min .........have to wait much at NJP...........i/c can be risky as it has a time of 8.15pm and a delay of 1hr is expected in this section when other sf trains are running......

This intercity will gain speeds once the doubling gets over,can reach NJp within 2 hr 10 min
actually it has got huge slack in both the UP-DN run... still it gets delayed.. sut some time it gets 30mins to before @ NCB when there is less crossing in between..
there is always a tendency to give SLACK in these trains and is very common in sf trains also.doubling can reduce some slack.NJP NCB should not take more than 2 hr,1.3 hr for SFs

sir which are the stations in this route where loop lines are laid... one is at maynaguri road that can be seen from bus..
New Mal jn station needs more decoration and more facilities like tourist information kiosks,canteens,cafeterias.............it is the door way to famous tourist spots..............

ramsai is there.......not sure....please confirm.......there was a branch from ramsai to jalpesh also...has been abandoned.
