20682 Sengottai – Chennai Egmore Silambu Superfast Express leaving Sengottai Jn at 16.50 hrs on 25th, 26th February, 2023 will be partially cancelled between Sengottai and Karaikkudi. The train will commence service from Karaikkudi at its scheduled departure time of 21.32 hrs.

and there is something written as 4E 2T , 4E 16 T What does that mean.Please clarify
PTT and WTT are different because unlike public TT, working TT takes into account various speed restrictions into account and divides time as per that.
The E and T you see are the amount of time for SR's. E stands for Engineering SR's (due to civil engineering related reasons) and T stands for traffic SR's

Public Time Table (PTT) is the train timing announced for travelling public whereas Working Time Table or WTT is an official document depending on which train operations are carried out on a day to day basis. WTT has incorporated provisions for anticipated time loss from scheduled crossings/overtakes, planned regular maintenance works, permanent speed restrictions etc.
4E 2T means that 4 minutes running time has been added as Engineering Department's allowance & another 2 minutes as Traffic allowance. In other words, the usual slack time we notice in PTT is actually these allowances granted on account of Engineering (E) & Traffic (T) Departments. Railways try to hide these Engg./Traffic allowances under slack time!
