Yesterday 12626 Kerala departed WL just behind 12760 Charminar. Kerala was running late by 3+ hrs Charminar was running late by 1+ hr. Every time Charminar took its scheduled halt, KL was stopped behind it but never allowed to overtake till BZA. Even after BZA same scenario, while charmi was making scheduled halts KL was making unscheduled halts behind it. Atlast after Gudur both parted their ways. Till Gudur from WL, charminar has 9 commercial stops while KL has only 2. If KL was given priority it would have covered up some delay but god knows whats in the minds of section controllers. These days only Raj, Durontos, Shatabdi and VBs are given priority over other trains, seems like in between other express and superfast categories there is no priority, mostly they are made to run back to back except in few cases.

Agar KL ko priority di jaati toh thoda late ho jane ka samasya kam ho sakti thi lekin Bhagwan jaane section controllers ke dimaag mein kya hai. Aaj kal sirf Raj, Duronto, Shatabdi aur VBs ko hi priority di jati hai dusre trains ke mukable me, lagta hai express aur superfast trains ke beech mein koi priority nahi hoti, adhikansh trains back to back chalwane ke liye banayi jati hai kuchh khas ghatnaon ke alawa.
