Yesterday Kirandul passenger 3 hrs late. Started at 19:30 at Araku. What people see through glasses in Dark night ? That to this route only goes through hills in naxal effected region. No villages also between ARAKU-Boddavara near track. No roads. Really railways wasting 3.2 crs with bad return timings. From VSKP to Araku its already in waiting list.

better timings?? means update TT of existing passenger hell not possible!!!!only possible way is to send with dedicated engine but will RB agree for that owing to loss and profits &availibility of Loco??

Availability of loco is not big issue. This route is most backward region of country, IR should consider introducing a new train with good timings and these coaches can be attached to them. If doubling completes by another 3-4 years then running more trains easy.
I feel these coaches need to be used for more trips. Yesterday VSKP-Jagdapur did in 3 hrs 10 min between VSKP-ARK.
So if they start early from VSKP it can make 2 trips with 3 journey in total day time.

6:00 ARK 9:15 9:35 VSKP 12:50 13:15 ARK 16:25 16:45 VSKP 20:10. So it can be utilized properly.
Else they needs 5-6 years to get the cost they spent on coach manufacturing itself.

So funny this train runs almost on night. Kirandul passenger runs late and this region of east coast normally light goes by 17:30 it self except for 1 or 2 months. Whats the use of running glass train on night ?
