Himgiri Express when started, used to take about 29 Hrs. in 1978 (with WDM2/ICF rake) which is now 37 Hrs. in 2022 (with WAP7/130mps etc). The train is slowest in Asansol division maybe due to overtakes, long stoppage time at Jasidih & ECR may want to accept it late. ER may not prefer to leave Himgiri early morning from Howrah.
