The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) interrogated 34 railway employees on Thursday regarding the Howrah-Mumbai Mail accident. The investigation, conducted at the Chakradharpur Railway Division headquarters, focused on identifying the cause of the accident and holding responsible personnel accountable. the goods train involved, as well as the train manager, TTE, station manager of Barabambo, and the chief controller. The interrogation lasted from 11 AM to late evening, covering every aspect of the accident. While the outcome of the investigation has not been disclosed, train operations resumed at a speed of 30 km/h on all lines between Barabambo and Rajkharsawan stations. The railway administration is gradually normalizing train operations. However, four trains on August 1st and 12 trains on August 2nd and 3rd have been canceled. The accident site saw the replacement of approximately half a kilometer of the old railway line with a new one.

The railway lines in some sections are not fit for high speed running of trains. I can't say how they have been cleared for high speed runs. I haven't travelled through many routes. But I have travelled through few routes. Like from Kharagpur to Tatanagar by Janshatabdi at speeds of 120 kmph. Trains in this section run so smooth that you can't know the speed until you check it by speedometer. But while travelling in some sections like between Garhwa Road and Mugasarai, by Rajdhani Express at 130 kmph, it is so rough travel that the coach is constantly bouncing in all direction violently, up - down, left - right, that few times I was literally thrown off my berth and was prevented from falling down by the side chains which hold the berth. Once I also was thrown upwards and my head hit the wall. It felt so surprising how...

the wheels of the train are still on the tracks, when the coach itself is bouncing so violently. But all the rest people had no concern at all, sleeping in peace. The tracks of such routes should be repaired and until repair is done, maximum permissible speed of the trains should be reduced.

Even CNI-ASN, ADRA-KGP feels so dam smooth. Whereas, 130 in HWH-KAN(HBC) often feels very shaky. KAN-ASN is slightly better though.

Guruvaar shaam 4:03 baje, teeno line par parichalan normal ho gaya. Rail karmi aur adhikari abhi bhi haadse waali jagah par maujood hain. Budhvaar raat 8:50 baje, third line par train operation normal hua. Pehle goods train aur fir Howrah-Mumbai Gitanjali Express ko third line se gujara gaya. Upar wali line ko sabse zyada nuksan hua tha. Guruvaar subah 4:02 baje, upar wali line ko durust karke haadse wali jagah se maal gaadi ko gujara gaya. Uske baad, Howrah-Ahmedabad Express ko 4:27 baje upar wali line se gujara gaya. Upar wali line chaloo hone ke baad, rail karmi niche wali line ki marammat mein laage hue the. Niche wali line ko 4:03 baje durust karke chaloo kar diya gaya. Teeno line par train parichalan shuru hote hi rail karmi aur adhikario ke chehre par safalta ki muskaan dikhi.
