everyone knew this would happen, now I'm eager to know what was railway's thinking behind this train
Railways was thinking to get Modi votes from the people of this whole belt from Jamshedpur to Brahmapur via Kendujhargarh.
Sheer wastage of path and resources....they could have run some Inter-city Express or fast passenger itself. It would have taken the same time. Whichever contractor has taken the catering contract....so much of loss for them as well

Not fruitful result, in upcoming days we may see this VB running from SHM or SRC
I remember there used to be close monitoring of the VB trains in the initial days by the RB. Has it stopped? If no, how come they keep on introducing and running while elephants?

In India this VB is the longest running VB in terms of time. And its average speed is not upto the mark. If got speeded then then could had morning departure from tata and noon departure from Berhampur
I guess, it is still being monitored. But Monitoring criteria may have been changed.
This has to be the most egregious example of VB till now, running through rural Jharkhand. It might help folks from BBS/Cuttack through TATA but is absolutely useless for passengers from stations like Chaibasa or Kendujhargarh. Like the latter station doesn't even see 10 trains daily, what it needs is more ICE/Mail trains, not VBs.

I think they are running it upto Brahmapur to save a platform at BBS otherwise the VB would stand there for much time taking extra space. BBS doesn't have a lot of platforms, per se. It's like the Okha VB where no one travels end to end, but intervening stations see some footfall.
I think such political VBs shouldn't have been run at all. Guess there isn't a shortage of routes where VBs should be introduced and will actually turn out to be successful, but the govt is only interested in distributing votebank lollies.
Just politics made this possible, otherwise could have planned for puri or vskp via Balewar route. And this VB didn't needed 2 rakes as i believe. They could have kept patna VB departure 1 hour late and departure time same, so that PM time would have been managed. Even SER is also not confident regarding the punctuality of both the VBs
They want to connect to all parts of the country with VB regardless of requirements and show pride and showoff among the people. VB has completely become a political toy train. These vote bank political will not yield any positive impact from masses who still constitute 60% of voters.
It's a vanity project which is doomed from the start. Just like Sampark Kranti, Duronto, Garib Rath, et al are now consigned to the past and no new trains from them are introduced, the same will happen to VB. Since VBs are so closely integrated with the current govt., any new govt. will not want to carry on the legacy of the previous one and hence, try to come up with a new service after dumping the previous one.
