It is better run as 2 trains, from MV to PGT/PGTN and another as PGTN/PGT to ED, to avoid confusion.

With this time-table, 16729/30 will work as a SF between VM and NJT as well as return. (Would be useful as there are no late night trains from Kanyakumari to Trichy)
A good option now for passengers to go to Tanjavur from Palakkad and additional service in the PGT-Palani section in the mornings
