The Railway Division, despite admitting the high demand and shortage, has only temporarily increased the number of coaches on the train.

Meanwhile, the Garib Rath express train running between Jabalpur and Chhatrapati Maharaj Shivaji Terminus (Mumbai) will have an additional third AC coach added on June 12th for the 12187 Jabalpur-CSMT Garib Rath Express and on June 13th for the 12188 CSMT-Jabalpur Garib Rath Express, helping to clear the waiting list.

(Jablpur- CSMT Garib Rath Express) departing from Jabalpur on June 12th, 2024, and to train number 12188 (CSMT- Jabalpur Garib Rath Express) departing from Chhatrapati Maharaj Shivaji Terminus on June 13th, 2024. This will provide an additional 81 berths in the Third AC class. With the inclusion of this coach, the train will now consist of 19 coaches, including 17 Third AC coaches and 2 generator cars.

An extra sleeper coach will be added to the Bilaspur-Rewa Express leaving Bilaspur on June 7th, 2024 (Friday) and an extra sleeper coach will be added to the Rewa-Bilaspur Express leaving Rewa on June 8th, 2024 (Saturday). These additions will provide relief to passengers travelling between Jabalpur and Mumbai, as well as Rewa and Bilaspur.
