Several other trains are delayed by 1 to 4 hours. The Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Express (12192) is delayed by 30 minutes. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded the minimum temperature in Delhi at 8.3 degrees Celsius. The IMD predicts moderate fog in Delhi until January 26. Dense to very dense fog is expected in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh until January 26. The IMD also reported visibility challenges in several locations across India, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and other states.

Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (22823) 6 ghante 30 minute late hai, aur Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express (12801), Rewa-Anand Vihar Express (12427), aur Azamgarh-Delhi Jn Kaifiyat Express (12225) 6 ghante se zyada late hain. Aur bhi bahut saari trains 1 se 4 ghante late hain. Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Express (12192) 30 minute late hai. The Northern Railway issued an official statement outlining the delays, with the 12801 Rewa-Anand Vihar Express facing the longest delay of 5.45 hours, followed by the 12716 Amritsar-Nanded Express with a delay of 5.30 hours. At 5:30 AM today, visibility was as follows: 500 meters in the Jammu Division, 50 meters in Patiala, Punjab, 500 meters at Palam and Safdarjung in Delhi, 25 meters in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, 50 meters in Prayagraj, 25 meters in Gaya, Bihar, and 200 meters in Patna. On January 21st, the minimum temperature in many parts of Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh remained below 2-4 degrees Celsius. Hisar, Haryana reported a minimum temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius.

Railways should introduce a winter schedule for Northern Railway where dense fog affects the train punctuality every year. This can be similar to the Monsoon schedule for trains plying on Konkan Railway.

NR is a Mamoth when compared to KR ..
Much more people depend on NR for daily regional and local commute than KR.
NR can just over come this problem by take standardisation and cancellation of low performing trains ..
these bigger delays are due to late incoming trains at the terminals … this can be resolved …
