Both were given first-aid by railway officials and continued their journey to Mumbai by a special train. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Rescue and relief operations are underway, with the National Disaster Response Force assisting local authorities. The accident also affected a couple from West Bengal, Shyamaprasad and Anjana Halder, who recounted their narrow escape. The incident prompted authorities to release helpline numbers for those affected by the accident.
