caused a disruption in train operations for nine hours. Fortunately, the train avoided a major accident. The driver, upon noticing the fault, applied emergency brakes, causing a jolt and loud noises in the coaches. Passengers were momentarily frightened but relieved upon realizing the train had stopped safely. The broken wire, spanning around a kilometer, damaged 12 poles. The train was towed to Kodarma at 10 AM by a diesel engine. Train operations resumed on the main down line at 2 PM after the traction wire was repaired. Several trains, including the Asansol MEMU, 12988 Ajmer Sialda, 12365 Janshatabdi Express, and 18428 Anand Vihar Express, were delayed due to the incident. The DRM, along with the RPF, the Traction Department, and other officials, oversaw the repairs and restoration of train operations.

The 13553 Asansol-Varanasi Memu Express will be controlled between Dhanbad and Son Nagar for three hours on February 22nd. Other trains like the Durgiyana Express, the Sealdah Duronto Express, and the Sealdah Express also faced delays of several hours. Consequently, the departure times of several trains from New Delhi have been altered. The Purva Express, which was originally scheduled to leave New Delhi on January 23rd at 5:40 PM, is now scheduled to depart at 9:30 PM. The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Express is also running delayed, scheduled to depart at 12:50 AM instead of 5 PM. The Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Express will be delayed by 10 hours and 35 minutes on the 24th.
