This intervention was crucial as platform 1 is essential for passengers with physical challenges who faced difficulties due to the lack of accessible platforms. Venugopal also requested the Railway Minister to prioritize improvements to infrastructure at the station, including lifts, ramps, escalators, and other essential facilities. Railway Operations Manager ne Saturday se platform 1 pe train jaane ka order diya. Sabse pehle, 12511 train Gorakhpur se Thiruvananthapuram ja rahi thi, woh platform 1 se pass hui. Platform 1 na hone se physical challenge waale passengers ko bahut dikkat ho raha tha, toh MP ka yeh intervention bahut jaroori tha. Venugopal ne Railway Minister se station pe infrastructure improve karne ke liye bhi kaha, jaise ki lifts, ramps, escalators aur aur bhi facilities. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Cherthala district ka ek major stop hone ke baad bhi, station pe basic facilities bahut bad condition me hai.

He also requested the inclusion of a stop for the Patalkot Express at Sonagirji, a Jain pilgrimage site, to cater to the religious needs of the local population. Additionally, he advocated for the introduction of the Duranto Express from Chhindwara to Mumbai, the extension of the Vande Bharat Express to Chhindwara from Nagpur and to Ujjain and Indore, and the reinstatement of the stops for various trains at Pandhurna, which has recently been elevated to a district. These stops were previously discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yesvantpur-Lucknow Express will be canceled on June 26th and July 3rd. Also canceled is the 22533 Gorakhpur-Yesvantpur Express on June 24th and July 1st. Additionally, several other trains, including the 22534 Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur Express, 02575 Hyderabad-Gorakhpur Special, 02576 Gorakhpur-Hyderabad, 05303 Gorakhpur-Jadcherla, 05304 Jadcherla-Gorakhpur, 07305 Shri Siddaraooda Swami Ji Hubballi-Gomti Nagar, and 07306 Gomti Nagar-Shri Siddaraooda Swami Ji Hubballi Special, will also be canceled on various dates. Some trains, including the 12591 Gorakhpur-Yesvantpur Express and 12592 Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur Express, will be diverted via a new route passing through Secunderabad, Nizamabad, Mudkhed, Pimpal Khuti, and Majri. Other trains, including 12589 Gorakhpur-Secunderabad, 12590 Secunderabad-Gorakhpur, 12511 Gorakhpur-Kochuveli, 12590 Kochuveli-Gorakhpur, 12521 Barauni-Ernakulam, and 12522 Ernakulam-Barauni Express, will also run on an alternative route.
