Vande Bharat trains will reduce journey times by over two hours and 90 minutes, respectively. These trains, designed and manufactured in India, offer a modern and comfortable travel experience with a top speed of 160 KMPH, anti-collision device KAVACH, and fully-sealed gangways. Indian Railways has introduced 772 additional train services, including 100 Vande Bharat trains, from 2019-2020 to 2023-2024, with a total investment of Rs 1,343.72 crore in Vande Bharat train production.

In the return direction, the train will depart from Nagercoil at 2:20 pm and arrive in Chennai Egmore at 11:00 pm, also excluding Wednesdays. The train will stop at Tambaram, Tiruchirapalli, and Dindigul. The Madurai – Bengaluru Cantonment Vande Bharat will operate from Madurai Jn, departing at 5:15 am and arriving in Bengaluru Cantonment at 1:00 pm, excluding Tuesdays. In the return direction, the train will depart from Bengaluru Cantonment at 1:30 pm and arrive in Madurai at 9:45 pm. It will stop at Tiruchirapalli, Namakkal, and Salem.
