The fare for the journey from Bengaluru to Madurai will be ₹1200. The same day, another Vande Bharat Express between Chennai Central and Nagercoil will be inaugurated, with the train departing Chennai at 12:30 PM and arriving in Nagercoil at 9:30 PM. This train will have 16 coaches and will make stops at Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Villupuram, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Kovilpatti, and Tirunelveli. These trains, designed and manufactured in India, offer a modern and comfortable travel experience with a top speed of 160 KMPH, anti-collision device KAVACH, and fully-sealed gangways. Indian Railways has introduced 772 additional train services, including 100 Vande Bharat trains, from 2019-2020 to 2023-2024, with a total investment of Rs 1,343.72 crore in Vande Bharat train production.
