Minister Hardeep Singh Puri's request to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to increase the train's frequency and include a stop at Sonbhadra. The proposal, initially made in 2021, highlighted the difficulty of direct travel to Delhi from Sonbhadra, which borders four states. The Ranchi Rajdhani Express currently operates only once a week but is planned to increase to three times a week.
