In the Bilaspur Division of the South East Central Railway, the third and fourth electrification section between Kharsia and Raigarh is being worked on, leading to cancellations of the Darbhanga-Secunderabad Express, Secunderabad-Darbhanga Express, and Bilaspur-Patna Express on specific dates between September 10th and 22nd. The South Eastern Railway is undertaking pre-non-interlocking, non-interlocking, and pre-pre-non-interlocking works for the Kharagpur-Adityapur third line project at Adityapur station in the Chakradharpur Division, causing Asansol-Tatanagar Memu Passenger and Passenger trains to terminate at Purulia from September 7th to 28th. The responsibility of operating the Tata-Asansol Express will be with the East Central Zone, Hajipur. South Eastern Railway Zone Kolkata officials have assured the MP that they will contact East Central Zone Hajipur regarding the proposal. Currently, there are no trains running from Tatanagar to Koderma during the day, except for the Purushottam Express. The Tatanagar-Asansol Express currently reaches Asansol at 5:00 PM and departs for Tatanagar at 9:00 AM the next day, causing congestion due to idle coaches. The train could easily travel between Asansol and Koderma, a distance of 182 km, in 14 hours. The new arrangement will require the railway to clean and repair the train's carriages in Koderma instead of Asansol, as the train departs for Asansol just a few hours after arriving in Tatanagar. Tatanagar has several local train sets that operate on different routes after arriving at the station.
