In a way the delay is good. It'll be better if the existing ICF coaches are replaced by Self-generating LHB coaches instead of the current ones that require EOGs. It's better to focus on better maintenance and better utilization of the existing ICF rakes. It'll also save all the money to be spent later on in converting all the LHB rakes to self-generating ones. I feel the increase in MPS is not worth running EVERY single train with 2 diesel generator cars at either end. Better scheduling and maintenance are enough for reducing travel time even with ICF coaches.
