The Railway Year starting from 01.10.2016 is again going to be a big disappointment for Rourkelites. This year none of the demands of Rourkelites has been fulfilled especially the creation of a new Railway Division at Rourkela.
The new Railway Schedule includes
Tata-Lokmanya Tilak(T) Antodaya Express, a new Superfast unreserved 2nd Class Service
Hatia-Ernakulam Express, which doesnt touches Chennai
Rourkela-Bhubaneswar...

Intercity Express to be made Superfast from 20.12.2016, with reduction of journey time by 1 hour.
No New Express Trains originating/terminating at Rourkela
No commercial halts for Howrah-Mumbai and Howrah-Pune Duronto Express trains at Rourlela
No new trains to Delhi/ No extension of Delhi bound trains terminating at Ranchi e.g. Garib Rath to Rourkela
No new trains to Brahmapur, it was proposed that Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Rajyarani Express should be extended to Brahmapur but it did not happen
No new trains to Bengaluru/No frequency increase of existing trains
The long pending demand of extension of Puri-Barbil- Chakradharpur Express by 101 kms to Rourkela has been ignored again
No new train to Bhubaneswar e.g Intercity
No high class service trains like Tejas and Humsafar but Antodaya, a 2nd Class service
We pay the most but get the least....This injustice should be stopped
