*However Naya Raipur Rlys station & coaching Terminal is already in progress, probably ahead of time and is more an issue of status symbol than actual requirement as process of populating the new capital complex called Naya Raipur has not yet picked up. Naya Raipur shall have limited application and shall be best suited for new originating trains like NayaR-NGP-Indore- intercity express, NayaR-G-JBP intercity (after commissioning of G-JBP GC), NayaR-Bhopal-Delhi Rajdhani express, & for MEMU trains serving Raipur.

more... Naya Raipur is very near to (just 5-7kms) from Raipur airport and well connected with excellent 4 lane road which presently is mostly unused. In future when Naya Raipur gets populated, air travel shall be more popular amongst its residents.
* Durg/G are best terminals of SECR for Eastward trains and BSP/Korba/RIG shall be best terminals of SECR for Westward trains. To serve the state or region better, Naya-R should not be used to start new trains towards Bilaspur as a huge populace of Bhilai-Durg-RJN shall be put to inconvenience of aboarding trains at R.
* Duronto stop does not appear justified as the train have to travel through longer Urkura-R-Sarona loop leading to loss of about 15-30 minutes for the Duronto which is distinctly the fastest train between MUM-HWH., more over R has excellent flight connectivity for Mumbai & Kolkata many premium ac paxs from R which are supposed to board Duronto shall prefer low cost airlines operating from Raipur.
* However a new weekly train (CSTM-BSL-NGP-G-Durg-R-BSP-Korba) may be introduced with LHB coaches (GEN+SL+ACIII+ACII+ACI) on one day vacant slot of MUM-HWH Duronto till NGP and then stopping at G, Durg, R, BSP and finally terminating at Korba.
