I've really started hating this thing. Nowadays every other day every good train is getting new halts unnecessarily, and even on IRI people keep demanding.
So those 36 trains are useless ? Andal people have nothing to do with those trains according to you. Tell me , doesn't trains like Coalfield , Agniveena , Black Diamond , Hool stops here ? Even long runners like 13151 , Vananchal , Dibrugarh - Jhajha have stops here & still u people want more & more trains . Also regarding connectivity I didn't need to earn knowledge for u people . There is an airport here plus buses do run from Ranigunj & Durgapur to
distant places serving Andal as well . So good connectivity is definitely there at UDL . First know your place well & then comment .

I havenot commented anything about those 36 trains whether they are useless or not.
Only getting trains for kolkata like Agniveena, Coalfield, Black, Hool, sdah intercity doesnot define the term connectivity. Tell me how many places are connected with Andal?? And why should people of Andal always go to places like Durgapur and Asansol for catching trains?. Last time when DRM visited Andal, he announced Andal as Nsg 4 station, same as Madhupur, Farakka or Bolpur. So if Madhupur, Bolpur can get halt of almost all trains including Shatabdi, Rajdhani, why andal can't get halt of a single express train of average speed of just 40kmph???

Just check your homestation Bolpur only. It has 44 passing train and 2 originating train but still falls in the same station category of Andal which has halt of just 36 trains out of which 15 trains are passenger. That only shows the difference in potential of these places.
So getting trains trains doesn't defines connectivity that you admit then why r u not asking for other means of transport ? . Secondly is DGR , ASN are unapproachable so much that Andal public find it difficult to go there. ? Or should there be dedicated trains for UDL to all places ? Then what will u say for those remotest areas where majority trains doesn't even slows down . I think compared to them at least UDL is not less than any heaven .
Thirdly it's good that UDL is an Nsg 4 station just like NFK & BHP but it's not that all trains does have halts at these places. BHP aleardy existed in Shatabdi stop list & NFK...
