WDP1, the first of its kind is actually a poor adoption of a WDM2 class loco. They were made in intention to haul small passenger rakes, but never performed as expected. Very few of these locos surviving in India, mostly on shunting duties.
These oldies are otherwise call baldies too
The one above was spotted performing shunting duties at Ambala Cantt.
