JOURNEY FROM LUCKNOW TO BABHNAN VIA NARROW GAUGE and LJN GKP ICE
Yes, you read it right, Narrow Gauge. If you had put a blind man on that train, he would have surely believed that we were on a narrow gauge train. Whilst standing at the door, such was the jerking of the coaches. And the speed, ah; a bullock cart could give this train competition. After a long halt at err, nearly all stations between LJN BBK(oh, and FOUR dead dogs on the opposite track); we cruised between Safedabad and Barabanki...
more... on the WRONG track (due to some maintenance work). The best stretch was between Colonelganj and Gonda where the train cruised and curved at mps. At Gonda station, a woman tried to board the accelerating train and apparently fell between the platform and train. Chain pulling was done and she was fortunately saved and rejoined with her mate(who had boarded our coach).
Images include couple of shots of LJN Shatabdi, views of Lucknow platform(do take a look the monkey drinking water from tap), couple of images of newly laid tracks in Gomti Nagar yard and couple of images near Malhour station.
