Yes signal fault i also think is the main reason...OR maybe Coromondal exp LP missed a signal near last crossing station and this signal was faulty.
I don't agree with point failure and loop line entry theory. If a train at 130kmph enters into loop line on left then engine will turn over on right side and cannot climb over a freight wagon on left side and be in straight condition.
Also i don't agree emergency brake was not applied by LP, i think LP suddenly applied emergency brakes and...
more... because of high inertia the coupling of loco with highly loaded Parcel van coach and loaded SLRD coach broken and loco moved forward and climbed on freight train. Because of this load in parcel van coach and SLRD c oach the highly loaded parcel van coach and loaded SLRD coach stopped and remaining coaches toppled over it.

Is parcel van coach aur SLRD coach ki load ki wajah se highly loaded parcel van coach aur loaded SLRD coach ruk gaye aur baaki ke coaches un par gir gaye.
