This train has been cancelled between AADR and CDG today. Interestingly , as evident .. it can be observed that CDG has the potential to fill all 1148 seats of this train. Train is partially cancelled.. which gave CDG opportunity to utilize full quota.. it will run jam packed and by 1500 hours ... all the seats will be fulfilled..

So, if you place the train with attacking TT at the correct time .. you might not require additional stops in the cities like PNP , KKDE , KUN to fill a...

premium train from CDG to NDLS...

They should place 8 coach VB in such a lucrative spot and brand it as the fastest connectivity between the cities.. say Delhi-CDG in 2.5 hours..

it will surely do miracle..
Flight tickets are expensive from CDG .. many people arrive at Delhi Airport to catch the flight... this train can become a good medium..

alternatively train be started from DEC .. GGN side to provide more connectivity to IGI and Haryana...

yes.. these are the figures after first chart preparation i guess... we have seen how current availability got down to 110 ... as recorded by one of the member..
so ideally ... only 110 seats were available in the train..
In reality .. train is filled upto the brim till chandigarh.. and after chandigarh its mostly empty... with less than 25% occupancy ... same is the case between JP and AII...

Railways can reap this situation by marketing cheap tickets between such pairs.. run it like european trains.. take tickets sit and travel..

or Utilize such VB efficiently .. .by running multiple trips between high demand pairs.... a route should be planned such that .. a VB rake works around 18-20 hours a day... like airlines... the smaller the rake .. the more efficient its utilization would be ..

I am still saying that it should run upto Amritsar instead of Amb Andaura by following route pattern of 18101/02,18309/10 between CDG - ASR with stoppages at LDH,JUC

i am doubtful about the occupancy it will get till ASR..
1. Chandigarh - Asr Intercities are not doing that great... i mean CCs does not run with 70% occupancy .. till first chart preparation of the train..
2. Road distance is shorter than rail distance .. as it does not passes through LDH .. significant time gets saved..

, these intercites are not very fast .. does save time and provide value for money to the travelers..
4. if train is running full in NDLS-CDG section then .. is it wise to run it with an occupancy of 30%-40% for another 250 odd kms...
it would be better to run it multiple times between CDG and NDLS instead..

This VB is given to the state of HP. Punjab already has so many premium trains and they will get their own VB.

It is already catering Chandigarh and it is very helpful for the Himachalis living in Delhi-NCR.
