The 5-minute ride will cost approximately 200 rupees. The selected firm will be responsible for completing the project in 24 months and also handling its operation and maintenance. The ropeway system, designed with monocable detachable gondola technology, can transport up to 2000 passengers per hour. While the project was announced by Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari in February 2022, some land acquisition hurdles remain, particularly near the Takia Masjid, where a multi-level parking facility is planned. The land has 253 houses, and the administration has initiated the process of acquiring it by issuing notices under Section 11 and 21. The project is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the area and provide convenient access to the temple. However, the allocation of land for the ropeway station at the railway station is still pending.
