Engineers achieve breakthrough in plugging major breach of railway track near Srivaikuntam

days to restore the track, facing challenges with washed-out roads and waterlogged areas. They removed the damaged tracks, packed the bund with heavy machinery, and relayed the tracks with ballast. Restoration works are complete for two sections between Srivaikuntam and Alwar Tirunagari, but the bund between Alwar Tirunagari and Nazareth is still being restored, hampered by night-time work restrictions and a local road blockade. Engineers aim to complete restoration of the 61 km stretch to Tiruchendur by January 5th to resume rail services as soon as possible.

tak round-the-clock kaam kiya, roads wash hone aur waterlogging ki wajah se kaafi problems aayi. Unhone damaged track ko remove kiya, bund ko heavy machinery se packed kiya, aur track ko ballast se relay kiya. Srivaikuntam aur Alwar Tirunagari ke beech do sections mein restoration kaam complete ho gaya hai, par Alwar Tirunagari aur Nazareth ke beech bund ka restoration abhi bhi chal raha hai, night-time work ki restrictions aur local road blockade ki wajah se problems aa rahi hain. Engineers ka target hai ki 5 January tak 61 km ki stretch tak Tiruchendur tak ka restoration complete ho jaaye, taaki rail services jaldi se jaldi start ho sake.
