On its inaugural day, 20 passengers boarded the train from Dhanbad, with two of them purchasing monthly season tickets for Katras station. Chaudhary and Mahto, along with their supporters, traveled on the same train to Katras, where they participated in a gathering. Passengers showered the train crew with garlands at every station from Chandrapura to Dhanbad. The train was discontinued in June 2017 due to the closure of the DC line. This train is considered a boon for students and workers in Katras. While passenger turnout was relatively low at Dhanbad station on the first day, the minimum fare of Rs. 30 has led to a greater focus on monthly season tickets. The train has five coaches and will operate daily except on Sundays. The number of passengers is expected to increase gradually. Senior officials including ADGM Operations Vineet Kumar, Sr. DCM Amaresh Kumar, and BJP General Secretary Nitin Bhatt were present at the inauguration ceremonies in Chandrapura and Dhanbad. Rohit Kumar Vernwal, a Katras resident who traveled on the inaugural trip, highlighted the train's minimum fare of Rs. 30. He also suggested that the train's departure time from Dhanbad should be shifted to around 4 PM, as the Shaktipunj Express departs from Dhanbad at 5:43 PM for Katras and Chandrapura, leaving a mere 40-minute gap between the two trains. Dinesh Kumar from Rani Bazaar Katras echoed this sentiment, advocating for the train to be scheduled directly after the Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special. Other passengers expressed their happiness about the train's resumption.

Pehle din, Dhanbad se 20 passengers train mein chadh gaye, aur do passengers ne Katras station ka monthly season ticket bhi liya. Yeh train Katras ke students aur workers ke liye bohot helpful hai. Pehle din, Dhanbad station pe, passengers ki turnout kam thi, lekin Rs. 30 ka minimum fare hone ki wajah se, passengers monthly season ticket pe zyada focus kar rahe hain. Train mein 5 bogies hain aur yeh Sunday chhor kar, har din chalegi. Passengers ki numbers gradually badhti jaengi. ADGM Operations Vineet Kumar, Sr. DCM Amaresh Kumar, aur BJP General Secretary Nitin Bhatt, Chandrapura aur Dhanbad mein inauguration ceremony mein maujood the. Katras ke Rohit Kumar Vernwal, jo pehle din train mein safar karne gaye the, unhone train ka minimum fare, Rs. 30 bataya.
