On Tuesday, Dinesh Chand Deswal, the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), inspected the site of the train accident that occurred on Sunday morning between Sadhugarh and Sirhind. He arrived in Ambala on Monday night. The CRS confirmed that this was the first accident on the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFCC) track...

and an investigation is underway. He emphasized that while the DFCC and the railways operate independently, they are both under the control of the Railway Ministry. He stated that the arrangements for the relief workers involved in the accident, one of whom was injured on Sunday evening, would be investigated. During the inspection, which lasted until around 10 am, the CRS collected information on the speed of the freight train involved in the accident, examined the loop lines, inspected the guard coach and engines, checked the automatic switch for changing tracks, and requested a report comparing the timing of the railway and DFCC clocks with the central control room clock. He also inquired about the recruitment and training of the staff at the New Sirhind station, operated by the DFCC, and inspected the station's control panel and signal system. The CRS also spoke with the staff, who suggested the use of anti-collision devices, stationing of the stationary freight train at the platform, and prioritizing the movement of the empty freight train over the stationary one. Other officials present at the site included Deputy CRS Deepak, Northern Railway's Chief Safety Officer Dimpi Garg, Ambala Railway Division DRM Mandeep Singh Bhatia, DFCCIL officials, and Senior DSC Arun Tripathi of the RPF. The accident is being compared to the one in Balasore, Odisha, where a passenger train was also involved. However, in this case, the passengers narrowly escaped. The lack of anti-collision devices, which could have prevented such accidents, is being highlighted. The railway authorities had announced trials for this device in 2016.

Tuesday ko, Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), Dinesh Chand Deswal, ne Sunday subah Sadhugarh aur Sirhind ke beech hue rail haadse ki jagah ka muayna kiya. Woh Monday raat Ambala pahunch gaye the. CRS ne confirm kiya ki yeh Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFCC) track pe pehla haadsa tha aur jaanch...

chal rahi hai. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki DFCC aur railway alag alag kaam kar rahe hain, lekin dono Railway Ministry ke control mein hain. Dusre officers jo site par maujood the, unmein Deputy CRS Deepak, Northern Railway ke Chief Safety Officer Dimpi Garg, Ambala Railway Division DRM Mandeep Singh Bhatia, DFCCIL ke officers aur RPF ke Senior DSC Arun Tripathi shamil the. Yeh haadsa Odisha ke Balasore mein hue haadse se compare kiya ja raha hai, jisme ek passenger train bhi shamil thi. Halanki, is haadse mein passengers bal-bal bach gaye.
