Trees that may cause damage to OHE, signals, or track have been chopped/trimmed. The railway zone has maintained a reserve boulder stock at key locations, along with earthmoving equipment. Stock of boulders, ballast, sandbags, etc., is loaded into wagons and stored near flood-prone locations. Sufficient inventory of emergency supplies is maintained. Railway officials will coordinate with Irrigation and State Disaster Response Force authorities during the monsoon season. Emergency patrolling will be started on receipt of weather warnings, and stationary watchmen will observe water levels, drainage flow, and any obstructions on the track. Communication equipment has been tested, and training has been provided to staff on attending to emergency issues.
